FAQ

Is the wedding still on?

YES! We have decided to cancel our postponed date and will now be moving forward with our original date of August 8, 2020!

Is there a dress code?

We ask that everyone dress in semi-formal attire. We will be outdoors on grass, so please keep this in mind when choosing shoewear.
Also, if you wear white, you will be turned away at the door.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Doors will open at 4:00 PM to guests. The ceremony will immediately be followed by a cocktail hour and the reception.
Parking is limited, please carpool if possible.

Is the wedding outside or inside?

The ceremony and reception are both outdoors.

Do i need to wear a face mask?

Yes. Masks are required unless you are sitting at a table. Any movement to the bar, bathroom, or other areas, your face mask must be on. Please do not forget a mask, but if you do, we will have disposable masks available to hand out.

Will the vendors be wearing face masks?

Yes, they are required to wear masks at all times.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes, if you were sent an electronic invitation, we ask that you please RSVP yes or no to attending. The RSVP date is July 19, 2020. You can RSVP by selecting the RSVP tab at the top of our website and entering your name as it appears in the electronic communication you received.

Will there be hand sanitizer available?

Yes! We will have individual bottles handed out to each guest as they walk in the door.

Why are you still having the wedding with all these restrictions in place?

This is such a loaded question for us. We have went back and forth countless times on keeping our rescheduled date next June, or moving forward this year on a much smaller scale.
In the beginning, as you know, we were all for rescheduling to next year if it meant we would have the wedding we have been envisioning for the past year and a half. However, the more we thought about it and talked about it, with the state that the country is in, we slowly came to the realization that the likelihood of next June being the wedding we envisioned - with no restrictions, no face masks, and in essence a normal wedding evening - was just simply not going to happen. The chance that a vaccine will be widely available and safe, and for every single one of our guests and the country as a whole to have received it by June 2021, is pretty slim.
With all that being said, we decided that for our own sanity and stress levels, we want to get married and have a gathering this year with the restrictions, rather than wait until June 2021 just to face those same restrictions at that time.

is it safe to proceed with the wedding this year?

Please know that we are very concerned for the health and safety of our family and friends. We are accepting and happy with the social distancing and face mask requirements because of how safe and well they have proven to be.

Are there any other details i should know about?

All tables will be spaced 6 feet apart.
All food will be served to you from a buffet line to avoid cross contamination.
There will be dancing! We ask to keep socially distanced on the dance floor or wear a mask.

What should I do if I cannot attend the wedding or do not feel comfortable attending?

We will fully understand and respect any decision you make based on what is best for you. If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call us. If you know you will not feel comfortable in spite of the social distancing guidelines that will be in effect, please RSVP no and tune in to our live stream option.
